Recording of our first non-CLL-specific webinar on collaboration with clinical groups now available!

We are proud to announce that the recording of our first CLLAN Webinar held on 30 Sept 2020 on “Developing collaboration between patient groups and clinical groups – working together to improve patient outcomes” is now available on our YouTube channel! It was an engaging experience with an international panel consisting of 4 experienced representatives of the advocacy community and 2 UK-based clinicians who all shared great insights and best-practice examples of successful collaboration between these two groups. The individual presentations were followed by an interesting Q&A session.

CLL Horizons 2019

The 3rd CLL HORIZONS Conference, hosted by the CLL Advocates Network, was held in Edinburgh, Scotland from 19-21 September 2019. This two-and-a-half-day event was held during the 2019 International Workshop on CLL (iwCLL), to share latest clinical advances in medicine and care to inform advocacy initiatives, creating opportunities for additional networking, learning and development of collaborative initiatives between global CLL clinical and advocacy communities.

The Conference brought together 52 participants from 25 countries all over the world – among them global advocates, patient groups and healthcare professionals supporting people with a diagnosis of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. The event enabled the sharing of the real-life experience of living with a diagnosis of CLL and how to support patients.

Abendavyo Mshana from Tanzania CLL Support Group won the 1st prize for best poster at CLL Horizons 2019 conference. 2nd prize was won by the Nigerian patient group Mustard Seed Health – Awareness Initiative, MSHAI (Nigeria). Congratulations to both – a great day for leukaemia awareness in Africa!
