CLL Society: Common Infections with CLL: Prevention and Treatment

Friday, December 13, 2024

9 AM – 10:30 AM PT / 10 AM – 11:30 AM MT / 11 AM – 12:30 PM CT / 12 PM – 1:30 PM ET / 5PM – 6:30PM GMT / 6PM – 7.30Pm CET

Duration: 90 minutes

As colder weather approaches and more time is spent indoors, the risk of respiratory infections like COVID-19, influenza, RSV, and bacterial pneumonia increases. Other infections to be aware of include infections affecting skin, gastrointestinal, and the urinary tract. Because everyone diagnosed with CLL / SLL are considered immunocompromised a variety of serious infections can occur.

Join CLL Society and Dr. William Werbel for an in-depth discussion on managing infection risks. We’ll explore respiratory and other significant infections, review essential infection control measures including reactivation of prior infections, discuss treatment options, vaccinations, and outline special precautions that are necessary to help protect those who are immunocompromised.

Ask your question in advance of the event by emailing Support@cllsociety.org by Wednesday, December 11th. Please include “December Webinar” in the subject line.

Questions asked in advance are provided to the speaker in preparation for the event. Questions that are applicable to more than one person and written succinctly have a higher chance of being asked by the moderator.
