Challenges of my patient history (currently undergoing CML treatment for 18 years) have motivated me for patient advocacy both on national level (2006, founder and chair of Diagnoza leukemie, Czech Republic), as well as EU-level (Secretary of European Cancer Patient Coalition for 3 election periods 2010-2019), 10 year involvement in the Rare Cancers Europe platform, member of EHA Patient Leadership group, ECCO PAC and currently ESMO PAWG as well as globally: co-founder of CML Advocates Network, President of Swiss based Leukemia Patient Advocates Foundation, CLLAN Steering Committee member, CLLAN Treasurer (until 06-2023), involved also in MDS Alliance, ALAN (Acute Leukemias Network) and MPN Advocates Network.

Diagnoza leukemie patient society connects Czech and Slovak speaking patients with CML, CLL, acute leukemias and, myelodysplastic syndrome.
