Workshops and Webinars

R&D, health policy and the imminent needs of cancer patients did not stop with the pandemic. Powerful patient advocacy, patient engagement and patient input were more important than ever. In the absence of in-person capacity building events due to the pandemic, the CLL Advocates Network implemented the use of webinars as a primary digital alternative/accompaniment to the traditional education and capacity building initiatives.

The 4th CLL Horizons Conference 2021 (CLLHZ 2021) was held from 5-7 November 2021 in a fully virtual format.

Now as society has reopened and many opportunities for face-to-face working have enabled reintroduction of in person events, the digital working practises and lessons learned during the pandemic have been incorporated towards continued digital webinar and workshop provision to bring the advocacy community together.

As an example this years’ CLL Horizons is being held in a hybrid format 27 – 29 September to enable much boarder advocacy community participation both by in person attendance or remotely, (many in CLL community may still be unable to trave due to immunity challenges, while for others the digital option is more preferable to traveling and attending in person).
